250HR YTT Sample Daily Schedule: 

SCHEDULE A

6:00 to 8:00 a.m. : Morning Sadhana
8:00 a.m. : Silent Breakfast
9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. : History, Philosophy, Methodology, Anatomy etc.
11:15 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. : History, Philosophy, Methodology, Anatomy etc.
12:45 p.m. : Lunch
12:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. : AFTERNOON BREAK
4:45 p.m. to 6:15p.m. : Sunset Practice, Practice Teach, Techniques, Sequencing etc.
6:15 p.m. : Dinner
7:15 to 8:30 p.m. : Meditation, play shop, Review Session or film

SCHEDULE B

6:00 to 8:00 a.m. : Morning Sadhana
8:00 a.m. : Silent Breakfast
9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. : History, Philosophy, Methodology, Anatomy etc.
11:15 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. : History, Philosophy, Methodology, Anatomy etc.

2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. : Skills Practice, Techniques, & Group Work etc.
4:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. : Skills Practice, Techniques, & Group Work etc.
6:15 p.m. : Dinner
7:15 p.m. : EVENING OFF

This course has two half days off and three full days off through your 28 day experience. If you will require more time to explore the area please book additional days to stay in Puerto Viejo. There is not a lot of free time built into our intensive schedule for sightseeing.

 

250HR Required Reading:

These are texts that will be referenced often during the course of the yoga teacher training or serve as great reading for summary or review.  There may be reading assigned from these texts during the training.  Please bring them with you in hard copy or digital format.

  • Your favorite copy of The Yoga Sutras
  • Teaching Yoga:  Essential Foundations and Techniques by Mark Stephens

 

250hr Suggested Reading:

These are not required.  Many students ask for recommendations on what to read when starting down their yoga teacher path.  The suggested reading acts as a supplement for any student who would like to dive a bit deeper either before or after the training.  We will not work directly with these during the training, however they may be referenced or suggested.  These are for your personal use as you begin to grow your personal yoga library!

  • The Bhagavad Gita
  • The Ramayana
  • The Mahabharata
  • The Wisdom of Yoga:  A Seeker’s Guide to Extraordinary Living by Stephen Cope
  • Anatomy of the Spirit: The Seven Stages of Power and Healing by Carol Myss
